On Aug 7th the Board sent an Email indicating that we had been notified by the Greater Imperial Board of a recent car burglary on in one of the condo associations up front.

In working with the Sheriff's office, we have been notified that a juvenile living in the Estates has allegedly confessed to that and several other car burglaries.  Stolen GPSs and credit cards were recovered.  An arrest warrant was issued.

Further, in discussions with the local District Commander of the Sheriff's office, he revealed that most of these types of crimes in Imperial have been unlocked cars with valuables in plain sight.  The credit cards were allegedly stolen from mail boxes.

Further Lt. Prisco stated that most of the crimes in the Estates have been committed by a resident's family member or someone living with a resident or associated with a resident, not from outside of the Imperial community.

Lt. Prisco reiterates his past recommendations.  Lock your cars and houses, do not leave valuables in plain sight, be aware of your surroundings, watch your neighbors property - especially when they are not in residence and call the Sheriff's Office (911) if you see anything or anyone of concern.
